Savannah College of Arts and Design known as SCAD, has two annual arts festivals on the horizon. One using chalk as its medium and the other sand.
SCAD Sidewalk Arts Festival Saturday, April 27, 2019
It is the 38th year of this annual event, nearly as old as the university itself. Art, culture, food and live music will be featured through out the day. SCAD artists will bring colorful chalk masterpieces to the sidewalks of Forsythe Park. Sure to be fun for the entire family.
SCAD Sand Arts Festival Friday, May 3, 2019
This event is being held ocean side on Tybee Island. Students, faculty, staff and alumni will be building amazing sand sculptures of art. The artists will be building their creations on South Beach by the pier. Catch some rays and waves while enjoying the one of a kind art rise from the sand.
Both events are free, public events not to be missed.
